Engineering Design Competition
Do you enjoy designing things?

Do you like competition? Do you enjoy racing? If so, this competition is for you! Come join Grace College’s Engineering Department on February 3, 2024 at 1pm in the MOCC for an afternoon of drag racing and fun!
For this competition, participants will be tasked with designing their very own CO2 dragster to race against others in their division. Rules and requirements for designing a dragster are located below. Registration is free. High school students have the opportunity to compete for scholarships and the winners will receive a cash prize ($300 for first, $100 for second)!
If you need assistance using a CAD program to design your car or would like to 3D print your car through us, please contact engineering@grace.edu. If you would like to print your car through us, we will need your design at least a few weeks in advance.
Are there prizes?

Scholarships for high school contestants are as follows:
1st place: $8,000 ($2,000 per year)
2nd place: $4,000 ($1,000 per year)
3rd place: $2,000 ($500 per year)
There will be a $100 cash prize for the best car design.
