Institute for Global Studies

Grace’s Gateway to the World

Grace offers many opportunities for cross-cultural learning spanning from short-term trips to study abroad options, modern language degrees, to cultural experiences on campus. The Institute for Global Studies is your one-stop shop when it comes to engaging the world.

Grace College offers many different global studies opportunities through our Institute for Global Studies, like Go Encounter Trips.
Go Encounter Trips

Many students choose our short trips during breaks, called Go Encounter trips, to fulfill their cross-cultural field experience requirement. These trips, led by Grace faculty and staff, immerse students in cultural learning within the US or in international settings.

Study Abroad/Go Exchange

Are you interested in spending a semester in another country? Find out about the wide variety of options you have to do so. Exchange semesters are highly affordable and open to students from any major!

Global Living-Learning Community

Housed in Encompass Hall, our Global Living-Learning Community welcomes students from all majors who wish to focus on cross-cultural learning for the year. GLLC residents plan monthly events with a cultural focus, including cultural workshops, movie nights, field trips, and community meals! Students can also choose to host one of our exchange students from Korea or Hungary for a semester!

International Students - Grace College
International Students

The Institute for Global Studies provides support to international students as they adapt to American culture and higher education, from their arrival on campus to support with internships and optional professional training. We co-sponsor the International Student Family, an on-campus home for international students, third-culture students, and all those interested in learning about other cultures!
