Department of Communication, Social and Historical Studies

Created for More Human Communication

The Department of Communication, Social, and Historical Studies exists to promote student learning and civic engagement by studying human societies and human interactions across a wide spectrum of places and subcultures, both in the past and present. This includes the study of human communication, both in practice and in theory, within a variety of circles, including interpersonal, social and religious contexts, as well as corporate, media, and government spaces.

More Engagement

Our various programs of study equip students to be thoughtful Christians and engaged members of local, national, and global communities and in the marketplace of ideas. We do this through providing engaging student-centered classroom experiences, practical application through internships, and community activity.
