Go Encounter Trips
Be Transformed as you step into a new culture and develop new perspectives
Have you wondered if there’s a way to travel to another country in college without spending an entire semester there? At Grace, there is! Throughout the year, students go on 10-day trips led by cross-culturally experienced faculty and staff called Go Encounter trips.

A Key Piece to Our Curriculum
As a unique part of the Grace Core, these trips are one way to meet the “cross-cultural field requirement” for Global Perspectives. Global Perspectives is a class designed to develop a biblical lens for seeing the world in order to live meaningfully and biblically in increasingly multi-cultural societies. During this class, students discuss ways to become more effective in cross-cultural interactions.

A World of Choices
Students then have the opportunity to live out what they have learned. In the past, students have gone to places like Brazil, Fiji, France, England, Germany, Japan, Romania, South Korea, Canada, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Uganda, Ireland, Czech Republic, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Scotland, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, and many others.

Stay A While Longer
Go Encounter trips are just one way to fulfill the cross-cultural field experience requirement. Students may also choose to study languages and culture overseas or do an exchange semester at one of our partner institutions with dozens of course offerings in English.
