Grace College Campus Master Plan

Campus Master Plan

At Grace College, our campus is more than buildings and walkways — it’s a living reflection of our Christ-centered mission and commitment to excellence. The Campus Master Plan outlines a visionary roadmap for how we will grow, adapt, and enhance our physical spaces over the next 20 years, supporting the holistic development of our students and expanding our impact in the broader community.

Rooted in our mission to strengthen character, sharpen competence, and prepare for service, this plan brings clarity to how we will steward resources, create transformational environments, and align every space with the values of faith, learning, and belonging.

Vision for the Future

The master plan focuses on three core themes:

  • Academic Excellence: Renovating and expanding learning spaces, building new centers for innovation and research, and embracing new technology to support future-ready education.
  • Campus Experience: Modernizing residence halls, expanding wellness and recreation spaces, and creating places for students to connect, thrive, and feel at home.
  • Community Engagement: Opening our campus to local partnerships and families through welcoming facilities, walking paths, and shared amenities that enrich Winona Lake and beyond.

Planned Projects: Now and Ahead

While the full master plan spans the next two decades, our near-term efforts (5–7 years) are focused on key, high-impact upgrades:

Near-Term Highlights

  • New Business Innovation Center – A transformed community hub for entrepreneurship and Grace’s School of Business.
  • Orthopedic Innovation Research Center – A collaborative space with the Orthopedic and MedTech industry and new spaces for our engineering and computer science programs.
  • Health & Wellness Center Renovation – Expanding nursing, exercise science, fitness, and counseling services in one dynamic facility.
  • Residence Hall Enhancements – Adding over 100 new beds and updating existing halls like Alpha to improve quality and accessibility.
  • Library Renovation – Creating a modern academic and social hub with flexible spaces, enhanced technology, and potential dining options.
  • Community Fieldhouse & Pickleball Courts – Expanding recreational opportunities for students and families across the region.
  • Welcome Center at Westminster Hall – A new first-stop for visitors, students, and families to experience Grace and the Village at Winona.

Long-Term Possibilities

Future projects will continue to support our core commitments to faith, learning, and community. These may include new academic spaces, expanded athletic facilities, improved wayfinding and signage, sustainability upgrades, and further integration of our mission into the aesthetics, landscapes, and gathering places across campus.

Aspirational Priorities

Our long-term vision is shaped by a set of priorities that will guide our decisions and keep us aligned with our mission:

  • Develop a campus that reflects and reinforces our Christ-centered identity in every space and setting.
  • Ensure every student has access to high-quality, faith integrated, and welcoming learning and living environments.
  • Create spaces on campus for students, faculty, and staff that encourage Christian community, mentorship, hospitality, and care.
  • Deepen community partnerships that extend our mission beyond the boundaries of campus.
  • Pursue sustainable growth that positions Grace to meet the needs of future generations.
  • Continually improve accessibility, wellness, and holistic student support through thoughtful design and planning.

These priorities give us a shared sense of direction as we prayerfully and strategically prepare for the future.

Investing in Transformation

Our students’ stories — of faith formation, academic growth, and life-long impact — inspire us to build a campus where more stories like theirs can flourish. Through this plan, we’re creating a place where students can discover who they are, develop their calling, and live out their purpose in the world.
