About

Centers of Excellence

Excellence, mentorship, and community engagement are three of Grace’s core values. Our Centers of Excellence on campus are where these three core values converge. Housed in various academic schools, our Centers of Excellence give students the chance to put their learning into practice as they conduct research under the mentorship of expert faculty and are presented with opportunities to serve our surrounding community. Whether it’s teaching elementary students how to read, taking samples of local lake water, or launching a business that meets real needs in our area, students at Grace will find varied and exciting ways to integrate their faith and learning and build a resume that stands out upon graduation.

Center for Literacy & Learning

Housed in our School of Education, the Center for Literacy and Learning exists on the simple conviction that the ability to read is fundamental to every child’s success. Our faculty and teacher candidates partner with local schools to ensure every student is equipped with the skills to read, because readers are the leaders who will shape our future.

Center for Movement & Wellbeing

In today’s world, everyone claims to be an expert on your wellness — just follow this fad diet, or stick to this new workout trend. All of the advice can be overwhelming, and it can be hard to know which practices are right for you. The Center for Movement and Wellbeing, housed in the exercise science program at Grace, offers fitness classes, nutrition seminars, and personalized training to help community members find a path to wellness that is simple, understandable, and flexible to fit their lives.

Gordon Center for Enterprise Development

The Gordon Center for Enterprise Development facilitates opportunities in entrepreneurship and enterprise development for Grace students, faculty, employees, alumni, and the local community. This center in the School of Business engages in education, entrepreneurship development programs, student-run businesses, business coaching, and evidence-based research to apply biblical principles to enterprise development locally, nationally, and internationally.

Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams

The Lilly Center for Lakes and Streams seeks to make Kosciusko County’s 100+ lakes clean, healthy, safe, and beautiful. The center engages in a host of initiatives across three buckets: research, education, and collaboration. This includes tracking local water quality information, educating and encouraging lake associations and water quality organizations, improving K-12 science education, and empowering the general public to practice stewardship of natural resources.
