Grace College Water Testing is a student-run business coming to select neighborhoods with an affordable, convenient way to test your drinking water. We drop a sample kit on your front porch and pick it up on a scheduled Sunday afternoon. You never have to leave your home.
Bacteria like coliforms and E. coli can’t be seen, tasted or smelled in drinking water. That’s why the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that homeowners with private wells test their water for bacteria every year.
For accurate results, a water sample has to be kept cold and tested within 30 hours of collection. Our students handle that for you and deliver the samples to our state-certified lab at Grace’s Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams.
Every test you order gives Grace College students hands-on experience running a real business and doing real lab work. At Grace, we believe in learning through service. This program lets students put their education to work protecting the health of the neighbors around them.
