Similar to the Functional Movement Screen, the Fundamental Capacity Screen is used to help identify areas of the body that are deficient in either mobility or stability. The key difference between these two is that the Functional Movement Screen mainly focuses on movement pattern quality and points out asymmetries; the Fundamental Capacity Screen looks at power production, energy reutilization, posture under load, and control balance. With this screening, we can identify limitations and fundamental fitness issues in athletes so that we can correct them.
