The Home Stretch

It’s your junior or senior year and a particular career field has likely caught your eye. By now you have had some applied learning experiences that substantiated your chosen field. You have spent a semester as an intern, gaining valuable on-the-job experience.

Now is the time to update your resume and/or portfolio, finesse your interviewing techniques and presentation style, and polish your workplace etiquette skills.

Each year we offer a dynamic Professional Development Series. The topics vary from year to year based upon employer input. Your career preparation may include:

  • Etiquette Dinner
  • Professional Attire Seminar
  • Networking/Career Fairs
  • Job Searching Strategies/Social Media
  • Mock Interviews

Grace College seeks to provide students with critical training for a successful job search. Our annual Mock Interview Event allows students and employers an opportunity to directly connect while practicing and fine tuning their interviewing techniques. Check out the feedback from both students and employers about the value of this successful event.

You Will Be Linked to Local and Regional Markets

Graduation will be here sooner than you think, but we are confident you’ll be ready. We keep our ears bent to the marketplace and collect valuable hiring and human resource insight that we have built into an extensive database of cooperative relationships with area and regional businesses, ministries and nonprofit organizations. It all means that we can provide effective, career-oriented job placement services to our current students and recent graduates. In addition, we will be happy to help with resumes, cover letters, applications to graduate school, and we will even help you create your own self-marketing channels and professional network.
