Absence Due to Illness

  •  Health Services exists to assist students during times of illness or injury and to promote healthy living. If a medical care provider or the campus nurse determines that a student should not be attending class(es) and/or chapel, the nurse will communicate this to faculty and/or chapel personnel. Students may be required to utilize their instructors’ allocated absences and should refer to the class syllabus.
  • For students on a meal plan who are too ill to get to Alpha Dining Commons, at the request of the nurse or resident directors appropriate meals (light, clear, regular) can be provided by Food Services. The ill student is to ask a friend or RA to pick up the meal during normal Dining Commons hours using the provided slip.
