Student Senate

The purpose of the Student Senate is to serve the Student Body by working towards a responsible and effective student voice in institutional policy and direction. This group’s purpose is to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with the members of the faculty and administration and to promote personal growth for the student body by enhancing spiritual, educational, social, and cultural opportunities.
Student Senate accomplishes its mission through weekly meetings with class representatives and senators at large. Senate also writes proposals to the administration to enact change. At these meetings, Senate also approves and oversees clubs on campus.
Events:

“I am so excited for all that Student Senate will do next year. Some specifics we are looking to accomplish include bettering communication between administration and the student body, getting as many students as possible the opportunity to use their God given talents when getting involved, and continuing to bring excitement and joy to campus,” said Kiersten Martin, student body president.
