Esperanza Latina: A Group for Latinx Students

Esperanza Latina is a group for Latinx students to support and advocate the Latinx community with the students and faculty at Grace College.

Esperanza Latina stands for Latin Hope. It’s an organization dedicated to connecting the Latinx students on campus with one another, as well as creating relationships between the Latinx and Non-Latinx students. Esperanza Latina is a group to support and advocate for the Latinx community with our student body and faculty!

Events:

We have different events all year round,

  • Welcome Weekend Dinner: Ezperanza Latina gathers together around a meal to kick off the start of the new school year and welcome new students to the group.
  • Festival de Cultura: A full-blown festival where we celebrate the cultures of various Latin American countries. Join us for food, games, dancing and more!
  • Loteria Night: Take a traditional Bingo and try Lotería! Instead of numbers, Lotería uses images and decks of pictured cards with a board!
  • Hispanic Heritage Month: Esperanza Latina recognizes the contribution and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.
  • Reuniones Familiares: Our weekly gatherings where we discussed future events, and also hangout!
