Film Studies Minor

A Film Studies Minor at Grace College will explore the ins and outs of digital-based visual imaging, concepts, and applications. As you consider an array of colleges with Film Studies near you in the midwest, be assured that when you find your way to Winona Lake, Indiana, you will discover a top college with a Christian worldview. A Film Studies Minor at Grace College will help you make workable connections between creativity and research, preparing you to weigh questions and create conversation in a Christian college context.

This program is for you if you are serious about creating an impact in Film as a career. With a Film Studies Minor, you will be required to get real-world experience ensuring you are equipped for jobs in video production, film/video editing, technical writing, and countless other areas.

Film Studies incorporates the application of the basics of film production, theory and criticism, as well as question related art including such as television and video.

Oh, and did we mention that as a film studies student, you’ll study in the heart of downtown LA? Through the LA Film Studies program, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the film industry with the help of your instructors and be given hands-on internship experiences with professionals in the field. This semester-long program is a partnership with the Council for Christian College and Universities (CCCU) and is offered in collaboration with Olivet Nazarene University. Sixteen credit hours of the minor are taken on location in Los Angeles, CA at the LA Film School. Students will participate in program internships and core courses. 

Future Film Student, the way forward is Grace.
