Examining the role of contemporary artists in context of their relational experience with communities effected by environmental injustice; and exploring, through a comparative analysis, human-created and AI-generated art and the relationship to the Christian theological framework.

Art and design, art foundations, drawing/painting (digital and traditional), art history from ancient to contemporary. Teaching style is to encourage students as art makers to be curious and to love research to develop an expanded knowledge about any topic that can inform their art making. Understanding that concept, process, product and critique is the foundation of our Visual Arts program.

I really enjoy making art by painting and then shredding the canvas into strips for a mixed media, mixed form result. I have loved taking students to Italy and Greece to see old Cathedrals and ancient ruins as well as to see contemporary art.

The students and being able to convey art theory and aesthetics through the Christian lens.
