I’m a Grace alum, and I love getting to teach in the same classrooms where I once learned. Over the past 22 years of designing professionally, I’ve learned a lot of tough lessons through making mistakes. Teaching at Grace gives me the opportunity to pass those lessons on, so the next generation of designers can start their careers a few steps ahead of where I did. I also love that I get to openly discuss how my Christian faith shapes the way I approach design and how I work with clients.

Most of my research is done through client work through Blue Note Design. www.designwithbluenote.com

Logo and Identity Design, Brand Strategy. Teaching style revolves around real-world skills and practical application based on active professional work/experience.

One of the reasons I love design is that it demands curiosity and requires constantly researching, learning new skills, and exploring new topics. That same curiosity carries over into my life outside of work: I love reading, traveling, hiking, disc golf, pickleball, playing music, photography, and cooking — especially meals that take more than a day to prepare (baking included).
