Facility and Event Management
Facility and Event Management Major
As a facility and event management major at Grace College, you’ll learn to meet with clients to plan and market events, manage venues, and oversee event execution.
At Grace, we believe facility and event management can be a means to honor God. You’ll use your training and discernment to serve others, managing spaces and planning occasions that build community for the better.
Your foundational courses will instruct you in the essentials of business, such as economics, accounting, and financial law. As you mature in these skills, you’ll also take specialized management and marketing courses, including facility management, event management, advertising, and sales.
There’s no education like hands-on learning, so you’ll complete an internship with a local event planning organization or venue for the program. You may also participate in Student Involvement groups, which plan events such as Homecoming, ice cream socials, intramurals, and open mics.
Whether you work in wedding planning, catering, entertainment management, hotel management, or campaign coordination, you’ll be equipped to work in facility and event management in any position after graduating with a facility and event management degree.
