Through course work and close cooperation with professors, students are challenged to consider issues of Christian faith and values within the process of understanding the past.
The History major offers students a wide range of courses in American, European and world history. This degree is recommended for those who want to build professional skills through studying the past as well as those who want to pursue graduate school in preparation for a wide range of academic careers. The major culminates with the History Capstone Seminar and a senior thesis. Beyond a solid academic base in the historical discipline, this degree program includes substantial opportunities for field experience that supplements coursework with practical knowledge that will last a lifetime.
