Come to the Table
Like the kitchen in our own homes, Alpha Dining is where community happens. When we come to the table, amazing things transpire. Partner with us in the Alpha Dining Project to raise $5.5 million. And pray with us that Alpha would be a formative place for students for many, many years to come.
Matching Gift Challenges
We have $200,000 in dollar-for-dollar matching gifts available, every gift is doubled! Matching gifts have been provided for current and former parents, community members, and alumni of every era. Thank you to the generous donors from each of these groups who provided the matching dollars!
History
Grace College & Seminary has a storied history that is founded upon relationships with others. And many of these friendships at Grace began while sitting around an Alpha Dining table. For decades, Alpha has provided a comfortable third space for students, staff, faculty, and community members alike to connect with one another and grow together.
Alpha Dining was dedicated in 1964 as a dorm and dining commons. For the last 57 years, Alpha has served us well as the main dining facility on campus. However, as our community continues to grow, our dining needs have changed. Our current space lacks aesthetic appeal and space for all of our students to dine together; the kitchen equipment and ventilation need updating; and we have an increasing number of students with food allergies and sensitivities. We value providing quality food and an enjoyable dining experience for our current students and those to come. Therefore, Alpha Dining needs a renovation that creates more space for our students to dine, includes food stations that meet a variety of dietary needs, and incorporates an allergy-friendly prep space.
