Geography Minor
A geography minor exists at the intersection of global studies, history, and government. This minor may be for you if you’re interested in learning how location has affected people groups across history, as well as how you can engage with these cultures today.
At Grace, our geography program is founded on the truth that cultural competency is a must for the Kingdom-minded Christian. As we reach across borders, we understand that knowing our neighbors’ physical location, history, political systems, and beliefs is key.
As a geography minor, you’ll take foundational courses in geography, history, and government. Whether you’re interested in the Wild West, African history, or Middle Eastern politics, you’ll be free to specialize with your elective courses.
Outside of the classroom, you’ll benefit from our very own on-campus Winona History Center, which offers exhibits on Winona Lake’s historical heritage, from local Gospel musicians and evangelists to historical people groups.
You’ll also undergo an internship as a geography minor. You may choose to intern at the Winona History Center or another local organization.
When you graduate with a geography minor, you’ll be equipped with a foundational understanding of global studies. Whether you travel overseas or impact your local community, you’ll understand just what it means to be a global citizen.
