Computer Science Major – Application Development

  • 3 or 4 Year Degree
  • Hybrid
  • On-Campus

The Computer Science Major with a focus on Application Development at Grace College equips students to design, build, and maintain software applications that solve real-world problems. Whether you’re passionate about developing mobile apps, web platforms, or enterprise systems, this program provides a solid foundation in programming, systems analysis, and user-focused design.

Offered as a hybrid degree through a partnership with the Lower Cost Models for Independent Colleges Consortium (LCMC), the program combines the flexibility of online courses with the personal attention of on-campus instruction. Students learn industry-relevant skills using tools and technologies shaped by input from leading tech companies—including Google.

At Grace College, your education is more than technical. You’ll develop your coding skills while grounded in a biblical worldview, ensuring your work reflects both innovation and integrity. The program includes strong support in mathematics and business, preparing you to understand both the technical and strategic aspects of application development.

Real-world experience is a key part of this major. You’ll complete hands-on projects, internships, and collaborative coursework that mirror the challenges faced in today’s software development environments.

If you’re driven to create meaningful, user-centered technology—and want to do so with purpose—Grace College is the place to begin.

Voices of Grace

“Being one of the first students to fully go through this program, I didn’t know what to expect. However, I left with a greater interest in computer science, the ability to learn new languages and structures, and goal of pursuing a grad degree in data science.”
