Applied Mathematics Minor
If you love math but find yourself wondering, “So what?”, a degree in applied mathematics may be a great fit for you. An applied math minor at Grace College will take you beyond the theoretical into practical applications of the STEM fields.
At Grace College, we understand that mathematics is the language we use to analyze, understand, and predict God’s Creation (Gen. 1:28). You’ll learn to write coherent proofs in a way that succinctly communicates truth, and you’ll be challenged to creatively solve problems relevant to our world.
You’ll engage with calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra for your core courses, and you’ll specialize in proofs, probability, or statistics based on your interests.
With a degree in applied mathematics, you’ll graduate with a broad understanding of mathematics, which you can apply to fields such as the sciences, engineering, and information technology.
Applied Mathematics is great for those who are:
- Problem Solvers
- Curious About Why Things Are True
- Always Up for A Challenge
- Good Retention
- Self-Assurance
