Grace College recently announced its 2026 academic summer camp schedule, which offers a wide range of hands-on educational experiences for youth from elementary through high school. These camps connect kids with Grace College faculty, staff and students, as well as other local professionals, to give campers the opportunity to learn new skills, build relationships and explore careers in areas that most interest them.
“We are thrilled to welcome students back to campus this summer,” said Adrienne Daeger, director of academic camps at Grace. “Our goal is to give all sorts of kids fun and new experiences on and around our campus, so they can learn more about the world and their own interests. It’s a joy to watch campers benefit from collaborative activities, field trips and conversations with professionals that take learning beyond the classroom.”
The 2026 academic summer camps are as follows, and are based on the campers’ grades for fall 2026:
- Stepping Into a Storybook (2nd-4th grade) – This creative adventure for young readers brings beloved stories to life through activities and crafts and takes place June 3-5 and June 8-10.
- Accelerate! Youth Speed Camp (4th-8th grade) – This energetic program, transpiring June 22-26, focuses on movement and agility and is geared toward young athletes of any sport.
- Visual Arts Camp (6th-8th grade) – On June 8-12, campers can come develop their skills in drawing, painting and design, culminating in a gallery of their work.
- Engineering Camp (6th-8th grade) – Sign up for a hands-on experience with design, technology and real-world engineering challenges on June 8-12 and 15-19.
- Health Sciences Camp (6th-8th grade) – This brand-new camp provides an exploratory introduction to the wide variety of health careers. It’s ideal for middle schoolers as they consider their high school health science track. It will take place June 8-12.
- Creative Writing Camp (9th-12th grade) – Experience personalized instruction in storytelling and poetry on June 22-26 at Grace’s creative writing camp. Campers will also receive professional feedback on their writing and enjoy inspiring field trips.
- Conflict Resolution/Pre-Law Camp (7th-12th grade) – On June 22-26, campers will focus on peacebuilding and critical thinking skills. This camp is ideal for those pursuing a future in law, public service, criminal justice or leadership.
- Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge (9th-12th grade) – From June 28 to July 2, Grace is a host location for the Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge (FELC), a program of The Jesse Helms Center. Campers get the opportunity to earn real money, run a business, learn the power of the free enterprise system and the American Dream.
Thanks to a generous grant, every camper is eligible for the one-year “Summer Lancers” Scholarship, which offers a discounted rate at any academic camp. Families facing financial hardship can also request additional need-based support.
