Youth Ministry
Youth and Family Ministry
As a youth ministry major at Grace College, you’ll learn to walk alongside young people and their families in their spiritual formation.
Our youth and family ministry degree is founded on the truth that each generation needs men and women to mentor and equip them to trust and follow Jesus. There are so many entities trying desperately to invite the next generation to follow after them, and youth ministry helps point them toward the Creator and Savior of our world.
As a youth ministry major, you’ll take core and elective Bible classes, diving into areas of study such as the Old Testament, the New Testament, Christian history, and doctrine. You’ll also take specialized youth ministry courses, which will provide you with a strong foundation in youth ministry methods and strategies.
At Grace, we know that it’s one thing to learn about ministry — it’s another to work in it. That’s why you’ll complete an internship as part of the youth ministry program, choosing from various settings such as local churches, youth organizations, summer camps, and missions organizations.
When you graduate with a youth ministry degree, you’ll be prepared to lead and disciple young people with compassion and wisdom. You’ll be equipped to work in youth leadership, missions, camp ministry, or any position that requires a biblically grounded leader with a heart for the young.
