Bachelor of Psychology Online

A bachelor’s in psychology from Grace equips you for roles such as an addictions counselor, case manager, community service manager, human services assistant, or rehabilitation counselor. A psychology degree can serve as a foundation for further graduate education in counseling, social work, or related fields.

The Bachelor of Psychology degree can be completed in as little as two years! This is a degree-completion program designed for students with previous coursework or an associate degree. There are 20 required courses, for a total of 60 credit hours. In combination with a student’s prior credits, the complete bachelor’s degree is 120 credit hours.

Students need to have 60 credit hours of prior college credit completed to begin the program. (If students do not have 60 prior credit hours, there are a few options for earning this credit, including 24 credit hours that may be earned through experiential learning. Yes. Psychology is considered a science because it uses empirical, systematic methods to study behavior and mental processes.

You’ll study theories of personality, substance use and abuse, child and adolescent psychology, abnormal psychology, research methods, biblical psychology, and more!

Yes, courses are asynchronous and can be completed on your own schedule each week. Each course is 8 weeks long, and students will take two classes during each eight-week session.

Every course you take in this program will examine psychology/counseling through a biblical worldview. You’ll explore how biblical truth informs emotional health, relationships, and the human mind.

Grace’s Bachelor’s in Psychology highlights skills like empathy, being relational, good listening, and care as a good fit for the program and career as a whole. In the program, you will grow in critical thinking, moral character, analytical ability, and proficiency in writing.

Students interested in understanding human behavior, counseling, or preparing for graduate work in psychology or counseling.

Our online instructors here at Grace welcome and encourage a high degree of engagement and interaction. There will be opportunities to interact with your instructors and classmates through chat, email, discussion boards, and forums.

Students need a reliable computer or laptop, stable internet access, and basic word-processing software. All classes are delivered through Grace’s online learning platform, which is simple to use and mobile-friendly.

Many students continue on to Grace’s Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, especially if they are interested in becoming a licensed counselor. Students also pursue other graduate programs in psychology, counseling, social work, education, or ministry.
