General Science Major
As a general science major at Grace College, you’ll receive a broad scientific education that will give you a depth of knowledge across several disciplines.
At Grace College, we believe that faith and science are not just compatible but complementary. Faith influences our interpretation of science, and science reveals more to us about God’s work and being.
When it comes to your courses, don’t worry about choosing between a microscope, a Bunsen burner, and a Newton’s cradle. You’ll undergo classes in biology, chemistry, and physics, understanding how the fields intersect and diverge. As a general science major, you’ll also choose electives, tailoring the program to your unique interests. At Grace, faculty are present at labs, ready to aid and answer questions.
You’ll also complete an internship or research project as part of the general science major. Depending on where your interests lie, you may work for our Lilly Center for Lakes and Streams or one of our various scientific hubs in the larger Winona Lake/Warsaw community.
When you graduate with a general science degree, you’ll be equipped to enter graduate training or to work in a breadth of fields, such as microbiology, biochemistry, medical lab science, science research, or any position that requires diverse and thorough scientific understanding.
