Grace College Names Cokiesha Bailey Robinson Associate Dean of Student Diversity and Inclusion

Grace Story Podcast - Episode 37: Cokiesha Bailey Robinson

Grace College welcomes Cokiesha Bailey Robinson as its new associate dean of student diversity and inclusion. Robinson is the founder of Cross Spring Ministries and a writer for Our Daily Bread. Her role will be to promote diversity, equity and inclusion programming, advise the administration on issues related to diversity and underrepresented student populations, and work on campus discipleship efforts.

“Cokiesha is a wonderful addition to our Grace community. She is uniquely gifted for this role and has an exuberant passion for the Lord. I look forward to working with her and seeing the impact she has on our students,” said Grace College President Dr. Bill Katip.

Robinson obtained her bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in mass communications from Fisk University and a master’s of divinity from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Truett Seminary at Baylor University where she is working toward a doctorate in ministry.

Robinson most recently served on the Beeson Divinity School dean’s advisory board. Prior to full-time ministry, she worked in the radio and newspaper field. Her greatest passions are encouraging others through creative oral and written expression. She has been a contributing author to seven books and has authored two books of her own. Robinson is also a noteworthy conference speaker and has made a routine appearance on the Grace College chapel stage for the last several years.

“Cokiesha connected with our students from the first day she set foot on our campus a few years ago.  Her love for the Lord is evident and her smile is disarming.  She speaks the truth in love and that is why students are drawn to her wise words and caring ways.  Our students will find a loyal and Christ-like friend in Cokiesha,” said Dr. Tiberius Rata, associate dean of the School of Ministry Studies and Robinson’s former professor.
