Most of my scholarly research focuses on Irish Studies, British & Irish Modernism, Food Studies, and Gender Studies. Recently, I’ve been researching AI-informed pedagogy. I am currently working on a coedited collection of essays on Irish writer Claire Keegan.

Because of our small class sizes and close-knit community, I enjoy getting to know my students well and seeing how much they grow during their time here.

I am on the Executive Board for the Indiana Council of Teachers of English (ICTE) and recently completed my term as president of this organizatoin. My colleague Dr. Poch and I founded and co-direct the Winona Christian Writers Conference, an annual summer creative writing conference at Grace College.
