Bachelor's Degree in Psychology Online FAQ's

A bachelor’s in psychology from Grace equips you for roles such as an addictions counselor, case manager, community service manager, human services assistant, or rehabilitation counselor. A psychology degree can serve as a foundation for further graduate education in counseling, social work, or related fields.

The Bachelor of Psychology online degree can be completed in as little as two years! This is a degree-completion program designed for students with previous coursework or an associate degree. There are 20 required courses, for a total of 60 credit hours. In combination with a student’s prior credits, the complete bachelor’s degree is 120 credit hours.

Students need to have 60 credit hours of prior college credit completed to begin the program. (If students do not have 60 prior credit hours, there are a few options for earning this credit, including 24 credit hours that may be earned through experiential learning. You’ll study theories of personality, substance use and abuse, child and adolescent psychology, abnormal psychology, research methods, biblical psychology, and more!

Yes, courses are asynchronous and can be completed on your own schedule each week. Each course is 8 weeks long, and students will take two classes during each eight-week session.

Admissions Requirements

In order to be considered for enrollment in a degree completion program at Grace College, you must fulfill certain admission requirements. Below is a list of the requirements for the program.

  • 60 prior college credit hours (Some life and career experiences may be substituted for credit hours.)
  • Minimum GPA: 2.0
  • Complete the application process

We recommend that you apply for admission at least one month before the next entry term. Students applying after the deadline are considered on a space available basis. It is best to apply early!
