Karen Abercrombie from ‘War Room’ to Speak in Warsaw for MLK Jr. Day
The Committee to Commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King recently announced that Karen Abercrombie, a starring actress in the movie, “War Room,” is the keynote speaker for the 33rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Community Event. Abercrombie will speak on Monday, Jan. 18, at 11:30 a.m. at New Life Christian Church, 744 S. 325 E., Warsaw, Indiana. The event is free to attend, but seating is limited. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m.
Abercrombie is an award-winning actress, singer-songwriter, a Parent’s Choice Award-winning storyteller and an accomplished filmmaker. She recently received a Dove Award and a Movieguide Grace Award for her performance in the Kendrick Brothers film, “War Room,” where she played the spicy 80-year-old prayer warrior, Miss Clara.
The event will also be live-streamed on the Committee to Commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Facebook page and at www.ccmlkwarsaw.com/. Donations to help cover the cost of the speaker will be accepted. Lunch is not included.
