At Grace College, we provide more than an education. With a deep commitment to Biblical ideals and Christian ministry, we know how important it is for students to mature in their faith during their young adult years. That is why we are dedicated to helping you foster growth in your relationship with Christ and spurring you on in your spiritual journey with ministry opportunities.

If you want to find ways to serve and disciple others in college, we have various ministry opportunities for you as a student. You don’t have to wait until you graduate or find a job to follow the path that God is guiding you to. Living out your faith starts now.

Here are just a few of the ministry opportunities awaiting you at Grace:

Become a Growth Group Leader (GGL).

Do you have a passion for helping your fellow students develop spiritually? Have you always wanted to be part of a Bible study group? Do you want to help the students on your hall strengthen their faith? If so, the first of our Christian ministry opportunities may be for you.

As a Growth Group Leader (GGL), you will hold weekly Growth Groups designed to foster spiritual community.During Growth Groups, you will study Scripture , guide group discussions, wrestle through tough questions, and support your peers on their spiritual journeys.

Being a GGL is one of the best opportunities on campus to disciple students and walk closely with them through their spiritual journey.

Apply to be a Resident Assistant (RA).

Are you gifted at cultivating a positive culture? Are you good at problem solving? Have you been known to settle disputes with ease? Do you want to be a positive role model to those around you? You might have the qualities that make a good RA!

Once you move into your dorm as an RA, you bring your work home. You will be responsible for creating a comfortable environment for the residents of your hall as you settle disputes in God-honoring ways and ensure that your fellow students are following guidelines. You will also be responsible for working with your hall’s GGL and occasionally planning a Growth Group of your own.

This is your chance to establish your hall community and grow closer to the men or women you will be living with throughout the year. Many Grace College graduates can tell story after story of the RAs that have impacted them during their college years. While some might just see it as a job, RAs are given a platform of leadership that allows them to touch countless lives for the sake of the gospel.

Join the Chapel Team.

At Grace, ministry takes all shapes and forms. If you  enjoy planning and organization, if  love operating a camera, or if music is a passion of yours — you can use those skills to make our weekly chapels a reality! !

On the chapel team, you can choose between being a coordinator, getting involved with media or tech, or becoming a worship leader. You and your team will be responsible for planning and executing three chapels a week. From contacting chapel speakers to livestreaming each chapel, you will play an irreplaceable role in helping facilitate a meaningful time for each student to step away from homework and focus on their spiritual journey.

Act out your faith with Remnant.

Were you involved in your high school drama department? Do you love performing skits? Can you recount classic Bible stories? There may be a spot for you on Grace’s traveling Christian ministry team, Remnant.

When you join Remnant, you will perform modern retellings of Bible stories to churches, youth groups, schools, festivals, camps, and even on the occasional street corner. As you perform skits that illustrate God’s word, you will both entertain and educate your audience on the importance of God’s truth and love. Who knows? Maybe your performance will be the first time someone hears the gospel. If you’ve been acting for years, this is the perfect opportunity to use drama as a channel for Christian ministry.

Do you think you would be a good fit for any of these ministry opportunities? This is just scratching the surface. At Grace College, we strive to train and equip students for purposeful lives of ministry through all avenues of interest. If none of these strike your passions, we’ll get you connected with a ministry opportunity that does!
