1st Source Foundation presented Grace College with a generous donation to its upcoming Community Fieldhouse at halftime of the Grace College men’s soccer match on Saturday, October 25. The announcement occurred at the 1st Source Bank Field, which was officially renamed in 2016 as a result of 1st Source’s generous contributions to support athletics and academics at Grace.
“1st Source Foundation is pleased to continue to support the 1st Source Bank Field and extend our impact to the Community Fieldhouse at the Miller Athletic Complex,” said Bill Burton, East Region President at 1st Source Bank. “This complex will be invaluable to Grace College and the surrounding residents of Kosciusko County – supporting the health and wellness of the entire community.”
The Community Fieldhouse will be a transformative addition to Grace and the broader community, serving both student-athletes and local families. This multi-use facility will provide a dedicated space for Grace student-athletes to train and enhance their performance. At the same time, it will meet a significant community need for indoor recreation and year-round access to sports and wellness.
The project plans include six indoor batting cages, an indoor turf U-12 soccer field, eight outdoor pickleball courts with lights and a weight room for Grace student-athletes.
“We are proud to have the 1st Source name on our soccer stadium, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to strengthen our long-term partnership with a trusted institution that shares our values,” said Dr. Drew Flamm, Grace College president. “We strive to build champions of character through athletics at Grace, and we see these new facilities as a means to accomplish this foundational goal.”
The institution hopes to have the project completed by next winter, 2026.
