My teaching style is centered on practical application of the material.
Speech and theater classes teach concepts and techniques, then move directly to students applying what they’ve learned.
Most of my research is in the theatrical world. I read scripts, texts, and on-line forums to stay up-to-date, and perform regularly to stay current in the field.
Additionally, I attend multiple performances every year from local productions to Broadway.
I have performed in over 80 professional theatrical productions and am rapidly approaching 1,000 separate performances.
I sing everything from gospel to jazz to musical theater, and am an accomplished juggler.
I enjoy making a personal connection with my students. I can share my experiences and learn about theirs as well.
