Grace College & Seminary Introduces Biblical Studies Program in Akron, Ohio

Wednesday, January 18, 2017

Grace College & Seminary is pleased to announce the inception of a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies program at Grace Church, 754 Ghent Rd., Akron, Ohio.  Grace College & Seminary is an accredited higher education institution offering more than 70 undergraduate degrees as well as associate, graduate and doctoral degree programs at its main campus in Winona Lake, Ind.  The biblical studies program at Grace Church is the first fully residential degree program offered by Grace College & Seminary. Grace Church was recently listed on Outreach Magazine’s “100 Fastest-Growing Churches in America,” having grown 13% in 2016.

“We’re excited to partner with Grace Church to help train the next generation of church leaders,” said Dr. Bill Katip, president of Grace College.  “Our program will provide academically rigorous material, a hands-on, practical learning environment and first-rate teaching from a growing ministry in the heart of Akron.”

The biblical studies program prepares students to be servant-leaders both in church and society.  Classes focus on the Old and New Testaments, theology, church history, intercultural studies, preaching, spiritual formation and apologetics. Classes meet one evening and one Saturday per week at Grace Church Bath Campus.

“We are eager to start equipping new students to plant and pastor churches,” said Senior Pastor Jeff Bogue of Grace Church. “Our goal is to plant 30 churches in 30 years.  We are confident that the new Grace College program will raise up workers for our churches planting efforts and for the greater kingdom,” he said.

The Grace College Akron spring semester is currently underway; however, applications for the fall of 2017 are being accepted.  Visit www.grace.edu/admissions to complete an application or call Grace Akron Site Director Caleb Nichols at 330-422-3150 for more information.
