Bret Matthew Laird is the senior pastor of Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Previously, he served as the youth and interim pastor of Arcadia Bible Church in Los Angeles while completing an M.Div. at The Master’s Seminary. After graduation, he served as a missionary-professor in the former Soviet Union with Slavic Gospel Association, where he encountered political revolutions, war, refugee crises, and hostile world religions. He has served on several mission and seminary boards, has spoken at conferences, camps, and chapel services, and has taught courses at The Master’s University and several overseas seminaries. He is the author of Family, Government, and Church: Relating Three Jurisdictions of Divinely Delegated Authority (Shepherd Press, 2021). Bret and his wife, Katey, have four children.
