John Teevan is the Envoy to the President and for most of the 2023-24 school year he has been assigned to be Co-Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities. He also continues his role as Adjunct Professor by teaching in several schools on both the undergraduate and graduate level. This continues his work of teaching a variety of courses since 2000. He comes from two long pastorates and twelve years working for Grace College in the Indiana State Prison system as an educator/director. He also served in Indy and three other cities where Grace worked to open commuter sites. These diverse experiences along with community involvement have sensitized him to the social side of ministering to people in a variety of situations. A five-year engagement with the Acton Institute of Grand Rapids led to the publication of his book on Social Justice.
