Guinness World Record Jump Roper Featured at Lakes Festival

Thursday, May 18, 2017

David Fisher, jump roping Guinness World Record holder, will perform at this year’s Northern Indiana Lakes Festival May 26-28, Memorial Day Weekend.

Fisher, also known as the “Rope Warrior,” holds the world record for the most revolutions turned with a jump rope while pushing off and landing only on the backside in one minute—or “rump-jumps”—for completing 56 of these jumps in one minute.

Fisher was a Double A volleyball player at Emory University in Atlanta, and trained using a jump rope. Since then, Fisher turned jumping rope into his full-time profession as he promotes wellness and creative physical fitness. He serves as president of The Rope Warrior, Inc.™ and originator of Ropenastics™ which combines jumping rope with gymnastics techniques.

Rope Warrior shows are scheduled for Sunday, May 28 at 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:15 p.m. at Center Lake Park in downtown Warsaw.

Festival admission is free and other activities include Friday and Saturday evening concerts, food, live animal shows, display tanks, kids’ activities, exhibitors, a Memorial Day ceremony and more!

This year’s top sponsors include Kosciusko County Convention Recreation and Visitors Commission, Maple Leaf Farms, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, Silveus Insurance Group, and Zimmer Biomet.  For more information about the 2017 Northern Indiana Lakes Festival, visit lakes.grace.edu/lakes-festival.
