Need to Know: Incompatibilities with older versions of Office
OIT is in the process of deploying Office2007 across campus. The files that are created with the programs have new extensions; therefore, older versions of Office will require a special update from Microsoft. You don't have to purchase the new software, but you do need to download the updates. Download the Microsoft Compatibility Pack or get more information about Office 07 at Microsoft's Office Online website
