When I was a college student chapel truly was one of the best parts of my experience at Grace. Although at times the desire to sleep, study, and play competed with my attendance in a collective gathering of Grace students, I always considered it a privilege.
Chapel provided me with a sense that I was participating in an endeavor far greater than myself, and it reminded me that a complete education went beyond a mere accumulation of facts and skills. Chapel fused me with a sense of aspiration to see the advancement of God's kingdom and it convicted me of my own weakness and shortcomings. Above all and at its best, chapel was a powerful reminder that at the center of all that transpires ought to stand the incomparable person of Christ. Our intention is to see that the chapel program continues toward these ends and contributes to a community that flourishes in its knowledge and commitment to the historic Christian faith.
As an evagelical Christian community, Grace seeks to honor God through its work in higher education. Chapel is an environment deliberately set aside to complement the classroom and dorm room in producing a generation of leaders who seek to make evident the redeeming work of Christ in all areas of life.
