Summer Camp Counselor: Old Fort and Southeast Summer Day Camp, YMCA Day Camp Counselors I make a positive impact on each child under their supervision, an impact consistent with the values and philosophy of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne. They develop unique relationships quickly with each camper, participating actively in all activities, teaching, and role modeling outstanding behavior at all times. Outstanding counselors work in a demanding environment and manage to balance high camp standards for behavior, safety, and values with creativity and the ability to reach each child with their sensitivity and “childlike” behavior.

Summer Camp Director: Southeast YMCA Under the administration and direction of the Program Director responsible for the Day Camp Program, the Day Camp Director will perform program and administrative functions related to the Summer Day Camp Program. The Day Camp Director will be responsible for assisting day camp leadership staff in developing and implementing an age-appropriate curriculum for their groups, as well as supervise YMCA day camp staff, and maintaining consistent communication with parents, school personnel and transportation authorities.

Afterschool Program Specialist: Old Fort YMCA Under the direction of the School Age Child Care Site Director, the School Age Child Care Site Assistant is responsible for the supervision of all site program participants and activities throughout the school year. It is the responsibility of the SACC Site Assistant to handle all immediate discipline issues with students and to keep the SACC Site Director informed. The SACC Site Assistant is responsible for direct supervision of all students and activities. The School Age Child Care Site Assistant is also responsible for helping the School Age Child Care Site Director maintain records of parent payments and the distribution of receipts when appropriate.

Child Care Specialist:
Implements daily activities, provides a clean, safe, consistent, and therapeutic environment, and maintains daily routine and structure of facility. Teaches and models appropriate behaviors. Facilitates, engages in and supervises age appropriate play activities with children. Directs children in eating, resting, and hygiene. Supervises and assists children with assigned chores. Dispenses medication as instructed. Maintains medical treatment log, implements behavior modification techniques as instructed, maintains daily activity logs, and advocates for needs of children.
