Grace to Host Grammy Award-Winning Musicians at Homecoming

Three-time Grammy Award-winning music group, Jars of Clay, will be performing at Grace College during Homecoming Weekend Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. in the Rodeheaver Auditorium. Ticket sales are open to the public, with the option to purchase Gold Circle Tickets for a special behind-the-scenes look at the band. General public tickets can be purchased online at grace.edu/campus-life/box-office-tickets while Grace alumni are encouraged to visit grace.edu/alumni/events/homecoming to purchase tickets and review the entire Homecoming Weekend schedule of events.

Since their debut album release in May 1995, Jars of Clay has sold well over 5 million records. They have been recognized with Grammy Awards for their individual albums Much Afraid (’97), If I Left the Zoo (’99) and The Eleventh Hour (’02). Throughout their career, the group has also earned 15 Dove Awards, some of which include “Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year” and “Special Event Album of the Year.”

During their concert, Jars of Clay will feature songs from their new album, Inland, which was released August 27. This album reflects the comfort that the band has in being itself, and each title is representative of the ordinary days in life. The melodious music in each album track accentuates the talent each member has shared with the world over the past two decades. Inland also marks Jars of Clay’s first independent album release.
