Grace’s 75th Homecoming Celebration Packed with Weekend Activities
A tailgate barbeque, renewal of vows, president’s prayer breakfast, concert featuring an internationally-renowned recording artist and class reunion dinners are among the highlighted events during Grace College’s 75th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration, November 1-4.
“We’ve included something for everyone,” said Tammy Denlinger, director of alumni relations at Grace College. “From sporting events to an art exhibit and even a concert but, probably most importantly, an opportunity for Grace alumni to catch up with friends, former classmates and faculty.”
A dinner honoring Grace’s former national championship teams in basketball and volleyball kicks off the weekend on Thursday, November 1. Friday’s agenda includes a welcome reception in the Orthopaedic Capital Center Alumni Suite followed by a student variety show. On Saturday, November 3, a pancake breakfast is the first of over a dozen events for the day that includes a family tailgate barbeque prior to home basketball games for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
At 5:30 pm, there is a special dinner for Grace alumni of all ages – regardless of graduation year – in Westminster Hall. This includes alumni attending the festivities for class-year-specific reunions as well as Grace alumni from graduation years that are not celebrating formal reunion activities this year.
A performance by Dove Award-winning artist Phil Keaggy at 8:00 pm caps the activity-filled day at Grace’s Rodeheaver Auditorium. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by
calling 574-372-5100 ext. 6127.
