Grace Homecoming 2012 – Celebrating 75 Years

Grace is celebrating 75 years, and the 2012 Homecoming will be a special time for alumni to celebrate this exciting milestone. Grace alumni are invited to come back to campus to take in the festivities, re-connect with former classmates, and enjoy their specific class year reunion. Thursday, November 1st

National Championship Celebration Dinners, Westminster Hall*

Relive the success of our basketball and volleyball national championship teams. Players and families get in for free! Tickets will be available on a limited basis as space allows.

 

Friday, November 2nd

The Art of Michael Burman, Mount Memorial Art Gallery, Second Floor

Michael Burman is an acclaimed sculptor and art instructor based in Fort Wayne. Using ancient Shinto design style for inspiration, Burman strives to capture that same dignified sensibility and create work that is both elegant and organic.

Welcome Reception, Alumni Services Office in the Orthopaedic Capital Center

Greet former classmates and be welcomed back to campus by the Grace Alumni staff while enjoying an array of hors d’oeuvres.

Following a student-only banquet, alumni are invited to attend this popular student variety show – open to alumni for the first time this year. Enjoy dessert while watching the various talents of current Grace students.

For all you who met your beloved spouse at Grace, rang the bell, and got thrown in the lake, don’t miss this opportunity to renew your vows. Pastor Jim Custer will be leading couples as they corporately affirm their commitment to their spouses and enjoy a slice of wedding cake.

Grace has established a VA Student Services Center to support students and their families as they adjust to the higher education environment. If you are a veteran, stop by the new VA Lounge to meet and connect with other veteran alumni, and get to know the VA Student Services Staff.

Always a main highlight of Homecoming weekend, “Zero” grads ‡, ORCA grads and those whose graduation year ends in a 2 or 7, are invited to dine together with former classmates in Westminster Hall’s beautiful banquet rooms.

Overtime Alumni Dinner, Alpha Dining Hall (alumni and guests invited)*

If you are not a “Zero” grad, ORCA grad or not among those with a graduation year ending in a 2 or 7, this dinner is geared specifically to you! Offered for the first time ever at Homecoming, this event is open to ALL Grace alumni – regardless of graduation year – as well as current Grace students.

Phil Keaggy Concert with Chocolate Dessert & Coffee Bar, Rodeheaver Auditorium*

Come enjoy the music of Dove-Award winner acoustic guitarist and vocalist Phil Keaggy in the Rodeheaver Auditorium! (Concert begins at 8 p.m.) It’ll be a casual, intimate time of fellowship together. Chocolate Dessert and Coffee Bar available.

President’s Prayer Breakfast, Orthopaedic Capital Center*
