I. PASTOR
A. Follow calling and obey the qualifications of a “bishop” (I Tim. 3).
B. Love the LORD and serve the LORD with all of your heart, mind, and strength.
C. Love people with the love of Christ.
D. Preach and teach the whole counsel of God.
E. Shepherd those given to your care.
II. ASSISTANT TO SR. PASTOR
A. Serve Senior Pastor in any way he sees fit in order to free him up for the ministry of the Word and
prayer, to this congregation and the world.
B. Assist in funerals, weddings, Lord’s table, and baptisms.
III. OVERSEE STUDENT/YOUTH MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT
A. Communicate with and aid parents in raising godly teens.
B. Develop a student ministry worker’s training leadership structure that will strengthen adults who are
fully devoted followers of Christ to be able to help teens become fully devoted followers of Christ.
C. Shepherd the teens and their families in our SM to go from where they are to becoming fully devoted
followers of Christ.
D. Develop a student ministry which reflects and compliments the church’s ministry philosophy.
E. Develop a comprehensive student ministry which will provide continuity among the various training,
fellowship, serving, and outreach ministries for teens and for those working with teens in our church.
F. Ensure teens are getting plugged into every possible ministry of our church and spiritually growing in
those roles, strengthening the ministries in which they are serving.
G. Manage the LOFT space for the ministries of our church and other outreach events/ministries.
IV. OVERSEE THE JR. & SR. HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES, WEDNESDAY NIGHT YOUTH
GROUP, AND ACTIVITIES.
A. Plan the curriculum.
B. Prepare Bible-based, Christ-centered, creative, and relevant weekly lessons.
C. Build a relationship with leaders and train them to do the same with students.
D. Teach teens regularly through the various inputs.
E. Train adults to teach youth.
V. CONTRIBUTE TO THE COUNSELING MINISRY OF OUR CHURCH
A. Teach lectures in Biblical Counseling Training Conference.
B. Community Counseling.
C. Teach lectures in weekly counseling training.
D. Counsel FC members as needed.
E. Serve in the counseling ministry as needed.
VI. PARTICIPTE IN THE ON-CALL MINISTRY
A. Serve on the pastoral rotation.
B. Conduct funerals requested or assigned.
VII. OVERSEE THE TEEN MISSIONS TRIPS
A. Select the sites.
B. Provide training for all interested teens.
C. Provide training for the leaders.
D. Involve the church in the whole process.
E. Organize and supervise the missions trip reports to the church.
F. Disciple teens to more effective ministry at Faith after the trip.
VIII. OVERSEE TWO PASTORAL INTERNS
A. Invest in them personally.
B. Provide direction and training.
C. Address any major issues.
IX. OVERSEE THE SKATE PARK MINISTRY
A. Select and equip coordinators and/or pastoral seminary intern.
B. Provide direction.
C. Address any major issues.
X. OVERSEE A PORTION OF OUTREACH MINISTRIES (COMMUNITY CENTER)
A. Serve on and provide leadership for the Community Outreach Committee.
B. Direct the Family Promise Program.
C. Foster care and adoption ministry.
D. Serve on Our Kids Committee Community Advisory Board.
E. Nurture relationships with Community Leaders and assist where possible.
XI. OVERSEE VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
A. Establish and train coordinators of VBS.
B. Improve the involvement of our church family in VBS.
C. Equip and serve the staff during the week of VBS.
D. Lead our church to do our part to win kids to Christ and get them and their families plugged in at Faith.
XII. PREACHING AND TEACHING
A. Faith Christian School chapel speaking.
B. Select Sunday morning services.
C. Speak at summer camp.
XIII. OVERSEE SPECIAL NURSERY
A. Staff accordingly with Nursery Coordinator and Pastor of Children’s Ministries.
B. Manage announcements with coordinator and church office.
