Pastor of Adult Ministries – Grace Bible Church
I. Qualifications:
- Must be a born again believer.
- Must embrace the beliefs of Grace Bible Church as documented in the Grace Bible Church statement of faith.
- Have a desire to grow and mature in the fruit of the spirit as outlined in Galatians 5.
- Must be a member of Grace Bible Church.
II. Interpersonal Skills:
- Exhibit and practice good listening and communication skills.
- Value the input and camaraderie of all servants co-laboring on behalf of the church.
- Foster deep relationships with the families within the scope of Adult Ministries.
III. Organizational Skills:
- Facilitate the formation and articulation of ministry philosophy and direction.
- Facilitate and organize the implementation of duties.
- Be familiar with and use technology effectively.
IV. Ministry Responsibilities:
- This ministry requires full time performance.
- Provide overall leadership and vision of Adult Ministries.
- Share preaching responsibilities. Minimum of 12 Sunday’s preaching.
- Support the pastoral staff members in carrying out the ministry of the church; help as needed with administrative tasks and special projects.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Conduct wedding ceremonies as needed.
- Provide premarital and marital pastoral counseling as needed.
- Coordinate outreach activities and visitation to church members.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the staff for the development of programs to attract and serve young families and singles.
- Plan and coordinate small-group ministries for young families and singles.
- Work with the Elders to complete additional tasks/ministries as time allows and as the Lord leads.
- Will be accountable to the Senior Pastor on a day-to-day basis.
- Oversee and strengthen adult discipleship ministry including Adult Bible Fellowships and small groups.
- Oversee and strengthen Sports Ministry and Outreach of Adult Ministries.
- Develop and oversee a ministry of Assimilation to new believers and new members.
V. Accountability:
- The Pastor of Adult Ministries will report to the Elder’s/Leadership Team of Grace Bible Church.
- Participate in the Elder’s/Leadership Team meetings as a non-voting member.
VI. Educational and Experience Requirements:
- An educational achievement of a Master of Divinity or Master of Theology.
- Ministry experience required.
