Grace College & Seminary Ranked Among the Most Efficient Midwest Colleges

Monday, December 23rd, 2013

Grace College recently placed in the Regional Midwest Colleges category of an exclusive U.S. News and World Report list, “Weighing the efficiency of Highly Ranked Universities.” This report is a cross analysis of the U.S .News and World Report rankings and an efficiency scale. U.S. News measures a school’s financial resources by taking into account how much it spends per student on instruction, research, student services and related educational expenditures. The schools included in the list were those producing the highest educational quality, as determined by their place in the 2014 Best Colleges rankings, but spending relatively less on educational programs to achieve that quality.

Grace College is concerned not only with the efficiency of its resources but also with the quality and availability of the education it offers its students. Recently, Grace made quality education even more affordable by introducing a new three-year accelerated bachelor’s degree program and an additional option that allows students to graduate with a master’s degree in four years. Offered with five distinct master’s programs, students who take advantage of the blended degree program receive bachelor’s and master’s degrees for the price and time of just an undergraduate degree. Grace College is one of the few public or private universities nationally to offer three-year bachelor’s degree and four-year master’s degree programs across its entire curriculum.

Grace College tirelessly seeks to find a balance between pricing and value that maintains its mission, tradition, and heritage, yet propels its community of learners forward in ways that are relevant and affordable. The school maintains a strong student retention rate, providing competitive financial awards, partnerships with Trine University for Engineering and Bethel College for Nursing, and degree programs at commuter locations in Detroit, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis that allow students to transfer to Grace or other schools to complete a bachelor’s degree. Grace’s program innovation and value-added education has attracted the attention of Congress, state legislators and national media.

“We have worked diligently to offer a quality Christian education in new and innovative ways, and as a result, we have seen impressive enrollment increases,” said Grace President Bill Katip. “Now outside organizations and publications are also taking notice of our success and the value we provide.”
