Meredith enjoyed traveling again during Spring Break, visiting many countries and meeting new people. Some creative participants gave Meredith different outfits to wear. Here's some of the new clothes she wore:
at home with Jamie; in South Korea with Sarah and Lance;
in New York with Rebekah; in San Antonio with Kayla.
First Place Winner
First place overall prize went to Adriane Crouse and Bekah Harlos who traveled to Guatemala on a medical missions trip.
Second Place Winner
Second place overall went to Samuel Roth for his modern art entry. Samuel took Meredith to the Toledo Art Museum. He wanted to take Meredith's picture with a work by Picasso or Dali, where she would have fit in well, but as he put it, "since Meredith couldn't get a cameo with her siblings on the Picasso side of the family, we went for a shot with her more distant cousins -- Van Gogh's 3 dancers."
Best at a Foreign Location
Ryan Wroughton took Meredith to England and took numerous pictures of her at several locations, some of which will be displayed below. However, the picture chosen for best at a foreign location was his entry of Stonehenge.
Best at a Home Town Location
Jamie Hoffman claims that Meredith wanted to play Hide and Seek at a friend's house in Warsaw. She hid in several creative places--in the laundry pile, in the refrigerator, in the books, in a magazine, in the knife holder and finally in the bed. Instead of Where's Waldo, it became, Where's Meredith.

Best at a U.S. Landmark
Katherine Fillman took Meredith to Washington, DC where she visited a special location -- the Library of Congress. Katherine says Meredith " thought it was very big and beautiful, but she loves her home at the Morgan Library." Here's the Library of Congress from Meredith's perspective:
Best with a Famous Person
Aaron Pierce entered the prize winning entry of Meredith Morgan posing for the papparazzi (that would be Aaron and company) with Max Lucado.

Best with something that says or is a "Morgan"
This siting of "Morgan" was taken by Elisha Ramey in Paris on the famous Champs-Elysées. Great catch, Elisha. She also entered some interesting perspectives on the Eiffel Tower which can be seen below.

Most Unusual Location
Michael Shaub entered this picture of Meredith going down a fertility slide in Kyrgyzstan. Michael writes that "this slide on Mt. Suleiman is sacred in the Muslim community with the native Kyrgyzstan people. The local people go down the slide to try and get pregnant. So we will have to see if Meredith starts showing soon. :) Meredith is breaking a rule for the slide though. You are supposed to go down with your shoes off and she refused to take off her shoes. She said her feet stunk so she wanted to keep her shoes on even though it is against local practice. Meredith really enjoyed the fertility slide." This entry includes a video of Meredith actually going down the slide. She is also pictured with all of the Grace students who were on the team along with Michael.

Best with an Animal
Meredith became an expert bullfighter over Spring Break. This is not exactly "The Running of the Bulls" like in Pamplona, Spain, but it's a close second. Aaron Pierce captured this image of brave Meredith waving her red cape at the bull.
Meredith's Other Adventures
There were lots of great entries in the contest, making it hard for the judges to select the winners. Here's some of the other entries for each category.
Traveling outside the U.S.
Adriane Crouse and Bekah Harlos sent in pictures of Meredith visiting the world's largest engraved encyclopedia at some Mayan ruins in Honduras (of course, Meredith was fascinated!) She also saw a macaw in Honduras and enjoyed meeting a Guatemalan girl in an open market.

Ryan Wroughton and Meredith posed with Jane Austen. Then Meredith saw the Grace College mascot and wanted to have her picture taken with the Lancer. While visiting Christ Church, one of the colleges in Oxford University, Meredith wanted her picture taken in the dining room because it reminded her of a scene from the Harry Potter movies. Finally, Meredith judged an arm wrestling contest at Warwick Castle.

Elisha Ramey caught Meredith "Storming the Bastille". She also had some different perspectives on the pyramid at the Louvre and of the Eiffel Tower (or as she learned to say "La Tour Eiffel".)

Dr. John Teevan also took Meredith to France. She was surprised to see bones in the tower at the Chateau de St. Albain.
Marla Bender took Meredith to see one of the new Seven Wonders of the World found in Jordan. Meredith was definitely impressed with Petra.
Meredith, Peter Yaggi and Roger Peugh sped down the Autobahn in Germany (yes, that's 190 km/hr -- translated 120 mph). The destination was the Dom Cathedral in Koln, Germany. Looks like they made it in one piece.

Lance and Sarah Hostetler took Meredith to South Korea and met up with a Grace College graduate over there. Sarah made sure Meredith would blend in well with the culture.
Traveling in the USA
Debbie Burkett tried to take Meredith to a museum of an American Icon (Lucille Ball), but it was not open. She did manage to get a couple pictures of Meredith "with Lucille".

Jamie Sandy and Meredith had the opportunity to see an unusual sight at a very well-known U.S. Landmark. They were able to visit the White House on St. Patrick's Day, when the fountain was colored green in honor of the day. Meredith was thrilled to be there at just the right time.
Julie Shearer took Meredith to a place every girl wants to go -- Chocolate Town, USA--Hershey, PA! She attempted to eat a 5 pound chocolate bar by herself, but couldn't quite manage. She also enjoyed taking the tour of the chocolate factory. She was surprised to see how many candy bars are produced every day.
Julie also took Meredith to see a famous park in New York City.
Kayla Lewis took Meredith to see the Alamo.
Kory Pruner wanted Meredith to see all the airplanes at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL.
Meredith Morgan went on a road trip to Asheville, North Carolina, Rachel Kikkert. She was able to tour the Biltmore House, the largest American home, which has over 250 rooms. Although she wasn’t able to take pictures inside, she was able to take a picture on the outside.

Rebekah Kesler and Meredith planned a trip to New York City. Rebekah writes that Meredith "excitedly donned her NY hat and “IÂ Love (heart) NY” shirt in preparation for the trip!" "
As she arrived at Liberty Park and took a brief walk around, Meredith could not help but be overwhelmed by the massive towers across the channel in New York City. The New York Sky Line was as impressive as ever, and Meredith could not believe how many buildings are packed into such a small area of land." Meredith and Rebekah took the ferry to Liberty Island to visit one of the most recognized American landmarks. Both of them felt that "this trip to the Statue of Liberty was just what they needed to renew their patriotism and lift their spirits..."

Tracie Brumbaugh and Meredith visited Washington, DC where they enjoyed seeing many of the sights in our nation's capital. Tracie says, "
Meredith was able to visit the Jefferson and Lincoln monuments also but her favorite out of the two was the Lincoln."
More Fun Pictures
Julie Shearer gave Meredith some flying lessons over Spring Break.

Megan McGarvey shared an interesting meal with Meredith while visiting South Korea.

Aaron Pierce had an entry for "something that said Morgan".

Kayla Lewis and Meredith saw many unusual sites, including another Lancer! (I think the boots would be too big for Meredith, but the sombrero was a perfect fit.

Star Goble and Meredith visited an aquarium in Jamaica. Meredith wanted to swim with the sharks. (note the "wet suit")

Tammi Jongkind wrote that "though Meredith may be small in size, she certainly wasn't scared to see the huge horses. I took her to visit my favorite of our three horses, and Macklin (the horse) seemed to be quite eager to make thegreeting exchange!Meredith certainly seemed to enjoy the visit as well!"

Alex Melara says that "Meredith Morgan decided to hang out in Hollywood during spring break. While enjoying the sun and cruising the streets of L.A, she ran into the president Obama."

Tamara Veach has a rather unusual tale to tell about Meredith. "For Spring Break Meredith Morgan and I decided to go camping in Florida with some friends. On our way we had some tire troubles. Somewhere in Alabama at 2:30 a.m., we accidently blow/shredded three of the four tires on our camper! But never fear, Meredith Morgan is here. She changed all three of the tires for us and we were back on the road in no time. The rest of our week went great!"
Last, but not least, we can see that Meredith had a harrowing experience in Francesville, IN, where Rachael Jennys found her tied to the train track. Rachael came to here rescue and Meredith enjoyed the rest of her vacation in peace and quiet.
