HISTORY
The library was founded in 1939 and has a collection of
160,000 volumes, classified in the Library of Congress classification
system. Special Collections include the Papers of the American
Evangelist William A. "Billy" Sunday, as well as
archives of the Winona Lake Bible Conference, Grace College
and Seminary, and various Grace Brethren agencies.
IDENTIFICATION
A barcoded identification card must be presented when checking
out materials. Students must also use their identification
card to check out Reserve materials. Alumni may receive a non-student library card
for a nominal fee upon approval. Other non-students must
apply for a card and upon approval, are charged an annual
fee.
BOOK CIRCULATION
Most books circulate on a twenty one day basis. Books marked "Reference" are
for library use only. "Reserve" books may be checked
out for up to two hours in the library during the day and
out of the library overnight within sixty minutes before
closing and must be returned within the first hour of opening
the next day. Children's literature books have a check out
period of seven days. Two outside Book Drops are available
for convenient book return when the library is not open.
