Head coach Scott Blum (E-mail)

Head coach Scott Blum begins his third season at Grace with a wealth of experience as a player and coach. Blum, a former NAIA All-American and NCCAA National Player of the Year, graduated from Grace in 1993 and was a starting guard on the 1991–92 NAIA National Championship team.

In his first season at the helm of the women’s basketball program, the team went 5–22 overall and 1–15 in the Mid-Central Conference. The Lancers improved in his second season going 7–20 overall and 2–14 in the MCC.

Blum has held positions as the head men’s coach at Indiana Wesleyan and Trinity International and also spent a season as the head boys coach at Lakewood Park Christian School. He also spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Grace men’s basketball team.

In high school, Blum scored 1,576 career points at Oregon-Davis and is the only player to ever have his number retired at the school. He then played two seasons at Valparaiso before transferring to Grace for his final two seasons, leading the program to a 59–11 record in those years.

At Grace, Blum is also working as a professor in the physical education department. He is married to Michelle and they have three children —Tanner, Connor and Asher.

Assistant coach Skip Forbes (E-mail)

Skip Forbes enters his first season as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team. However, he is no stranger to Grace College basketball as he was a men's assistant coach from 1983 to 1995, including being on staff for the 1992 NAIA National Championship season.

Forbes earned an engineering degree at Broome College and currently is a religous studies professor at Grace.

He is married to Carol and the couple resides in Winona Lake.
