The Grace College Intercollegiate Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2008. The Athletic Department worked in conjunction with the Alumni and Advancement offices to create the prestigious Hall of Fame. The Lancer Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the prestige of Grace College both on and off the field of competition. It has been formed to recognize former Lancer athletes, coaches and contributors (Meritorious service) to the institution.
There were 10 inductees in the inaugural class of 2008. The inductees have brought much distinction and honor to Grace College and have established a tradition of Christian excellence which is unparalleled. Their achievements have touched everyone associated with Grace College both in and out of the arena of athletics. From the inception of intercollegiate athletics at Grace to the present, none have better exemplified the true spirit of Christian athletic competition at Grace than these honored players, coaches, administrators and community supporters.
Since the inaugural years of 2008, 2009 and 2010, four members are inducted into the Hall each year and the elite club is recognized through plaques that are located in the Orthopaedic Capital Center. Emphasis upon Christian values, moral character and personal integrity with a passion for Grace College are part of the criteria for induction.
Each year, names can be submitted for nomination and will be given consideration by the entire Hall of Fame committee. The Hall of Fame committee is comprised of ten representatives and is headed by Athletic Director Chad Briscoe. The inductees are announced in the summer and are formally inducted into the Hall of Fame at a banquet during Homecoming the following fall. If you would like to nominate a former Lancer athlete, coach or contributor, please fill out the nomination form and email it to: Director of Athletics, Chad Briscoe.
