Dana Devlin is set to start her first year coaching Grace’s cheer team. Devlin is a Grace College graduate who cheered for the Lancers all four years of college.
Devlin has been involved with coaching cheer since her graduation from college, including coaching teams at Lakeland Christian Academy and Warsaw Community High School.
She also served as Team Mom for the Midwest Competitive Junior Team with her daughter.
“My hope for this year is that we begin to build a new cheer program that raises the level of cheer at Grace,” Devlin said. “I want Grace Cheer to become all that God desires in the way of unity, support, prayer and encouragement in the name of Christ. I’m excited to see this varsity sport grow and change lives!”
Devlin has been cheering since second grade. She spent six years of her childhood as a missionary kid in Taiwan.
She graduated from Grace with a counseling degree in 1993. Devlin currently resides in Nappanee, Ind., with her husband, Scott, and daughter, Mya.
Bethany Benson joins Grace's coaching staff for her first season in 2012-13.
Benson was a four-year member of Grace's cheer team during her undergraduate career as a Lancer, helping lead the team to improvement each season.
She currently works in Grace's admissions department.
